Wing Chun (mandarin: 詠 春; pinyin: yǒng chūn; literally means "spring song" or mandarin: 永春; literally means "eternal spring"), also spelled as Ving Tsun or Wing Tsun is a form of martial arts and Chinese martial arts that combine attack and fight and specialize in close combat.
Wing Chun is a very unique form of martial arts, which specializes in close combat, uses fast punches and tight defense kicks and dexterity to accelerate forward. Effective Wing Chun can be achieved by coordinating attacks and defenses and counterattacks simultaneously.
Wing Chun practitioners must learn to waste the right amount of energy in a relaxed state. A good Wing Chun teacher will teach his students to overcome attacks by adjusting the position and structure of the body rather than facing them directly. Wing Chun styles include kicking, parrying, successive attacks, boxing, trapping and controlling techniques as part of battle.
